if you can still aford to feed your kids while burning hundred dollar bills and are willing to work hard you have a shot. there are a few places now that offer short or fast track CPL and have good industry cntacts. it will be upwards of 50K and more to be employed and then you will make very average money for the first couple years but - money is not so important when you are challenged and loving every day.
I did most of my PPL befor work so you can keep your day job. most of the lessons run around 1.5 hrs. (1 flying)
at least do your PPL - you could knock that over in a couple months if you fly a few times a week and study hard keeping your current job feed the kids and then have a much better insight on how the industry works and what your next move moght be. budget yourself and then even if you dont become a comercial pilot you can still fly pressty much where ever and whenever you want. budget yourself about 15K for PPL level inc flying, books, maps, refrance texts, medials, Police background checks and stuff
